Forget the weight loss
Successful and permanent weight loss is not about doing without; is it any wonder that so many people struggle — many of them for most of their lives?
Doing without is hard, especially if we are trying to do without things that we love, i.e. food. No, losing weight should be far more positive than that.
Winning the weight loss battle is about adding things. Adding facets to your lifestyle that mean you no longer have to focus on dieting or denial.
It’s about adding, not taking away
Vitality, energy, invigoration, pleasure, friends, excitement. All these things you can add by becoming more active, and here we focus on how to lose weight by running. Or, more specifically, just running.
Research tells us that those who are most successful at managing their weight and body size do so by increasing the amount of physical activity or exercise they do. Running is a great way to do this because it is largely self motivating. Yes it can be tough, it can be hard, but it can also build for us a strong armoury to battle against increasing or undesirable weight.
